A social enterprise is a business that meets the following characteristics:
Creates social value through the employment and inclusion of individuals disadvantaged in the labour market.
Employs at least 30% of individuals disadvantaged in the labour market.
Involves employees in the direction and development of the enterprise.
Reinvests at least 51% of its profits into its further development.
Meets other programme requirements.
The programme is financed from the European Structural and Investment (ESI) Funds under the Operational Programme Employment Plus (OP Employment+).
